Berlin here I come...

40,000 tickets were reallocated for the Germany Fifa Worlcup 2006, and I got one.

After the first round of ticket allocation ended, I had received an email informing me that I didn't get any tickets after applying for 2 matches, the quarter finals match in Berlin (first class ticket) and the semi final match in Munich (3rd class ticket).

Apparently they had another reallocation round and I was fortunate to be among the 40,000 that got tickets. Technically I didn't get the ticket yet, but I was allocated one ya3ni I still have to pay 180 euros for the ticket and 25 euros shipping expenses but hey its the WORLD CUP its like the biggest event ever.

Microsoft bloodhounds hunt Google Talk

I can't believe it, Microsoft released its new version of MSN Messenger, right after Google had released their new IM beta software.

They say that version 7.5 improves voice conversation quality, and adds support for voice clip and dynamic backgrounds, which for me is just a bunch of bull...

here's the link if you want to get the new version.

Google is controlling the world (and me)

Ok so I was reading around the net today, and i tried to avoid that fact the everyone is talking about "Google Talk". (which i love by the way)
google google google... google is everywhere.

I stopped for a second today and thought of all the google stuff that i use and i came to a conclusion that "without google i will be dead" heheh... well check it out..
I use:

- Google search (I have the google toolbar for easy access too)
- which also includes image search, froogle, news and groups
- Google Desktop search
- GMail
- Google Talk
- Hello
- Google Earth and Maps
- Blogger
- Picasa
- Deskbar (stopped using it though)

hehe I hope they come up with a google OS with all the other google tools built in... or maybe a google media player, although i will still use winamp cause its the best media player ever till now.

neways with all the google stuff i use, i am still not comfortable, cause I am not sure how they share all the info i have on my pc..... but what the heck its not like i have the secret receipe for the next generation mars bar or somthing :).

Microsoft Patent Takes (Tiny) Bite Out of Apple iPod

If you ask someone about something called an iPod, probably 99.999% of the people you have asked would start telling you how they fell in love with it (even if they don'’t own one), and they will most probably start talking about how amazing the play list/library system is, or how good the touch pad control is...Or etc... etc...

Well ironically all these cool features (or at least the iPod user interface concepts) are theoretically owned by Microsoft. According to this article, all those cool iPod features are "Microsoft technology" and Microsoft is open to licensing this technology to Apple. Hehe this just makes me laugh.

I am really not a big fan of Microsoft, but I think it'’s quite a smart move. They couldn't penetrate into Apple's market, so they gained exclusive rights on the technology behind the iPod; so basically Apple now owes them something like 10 bucks for every iPod they have sold........ that sucks doesn't it?
